Silverstone Auctions is now inviting entries for its International Trophy Sale on Friday 17 May while the first confirmed lot for the auction is a stunning 1968 Ford Mustang Bullitt.

The auction at Silverstone race circuit will act as a curtain raiser to the to the Historic Sports Car Club’s meeting which takes place over the same weekend. Vehicles being offered in the sale will include classic road-going models, competition cars and collectable motorbikes.

Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said: “It’s particular pleasing that the first confirmed entry is a Mustang as they’ve proved extremely popular in our previous auctions with a very similar model recently fetching more than £49,000.

“Indeed, the sale is sure to attract a knowledgeable and passionate audience and presents a great opportunity to sell your car with the expert help of a professional and dedicated auction team.”

The auction itself will take place in the ultra-modern ‘Wing’ building. The sale of cars will commence at 2pm following an automobilia and lifestyle goods sale which starts at 11am.

“As well as four-wheel offerings, the team at Silverstone Auctions would also be delighted to hear from anyone who has an interesting piece of automobilia they wish to sell at auction,” added Nick.

The sale in May is the first auction of the year for Silverstone Auctions at the historic race circuit following its successful auction at Race Retro in Stoneleigh in February which generated premium inclusive sales of more than £1.4 million.
