A UNIQUE addition to the Freelander 2range, offering dynamic exterior and interior styling, has recently gone onsale in the UK.
The Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Limited Edition brings together the space and practicality of the usual Freelander 2, but comes with a refreshed interior and exterior design to create a sportier, more evident,
sense of style. It also has a high-performance and efficient 190PS diesel engine, available with a six speed automatic gearbox only.
The exterior has been given a striking renewal, with a sophisticated black finish to the grille and the side vents, a new body styling pack, which offers cleaner profiling to the front corners, and a choice of three exterior colours in either Fuji White, Santorini Black or the all-new Firenze Red. A rear spoiler also features, together with 19 inch alloy wheels, body coloured door handles and privacy glass. If that is not enough, front
and rear parking sensors come as part of the standard package too.
The interior is available in Ebony Windsor leather with contrast Pimento stitch, or Ebony Napoli leather with matching contrast Windsor leather highlight stripe on the seats. These design themes, with the contrasting
colours and unique stripe design offer a distinct and sporty look for the Freelander 2.
Performance-wise, the SD4 Sport has a top speed of 118mph and a 0-60mph sprint of 8.7 seconds. It is also very ‘green’ because it is compatible with 10 percent biodiesel, which means CO2 emissions are reduced to 185g/km.
The Freelander 2 is currently Land Rover’s best-selling model, with over 215,000 sold globally since its launch in 2006. The Limited Edition offers the same practicality as the standard SUV but with an added bit of ‘icing on the cake’. But hurry, only 500 of the new models are available in theUK. Prices start at £33,945.
